 Continuing Project Research & Logbook Writing Progress

OBJECTIVES 

  • To give me more understanding about the whole terms in aquaponic culture
  • To continue on writing logbook progress until week 13

CONTENTS

1. Doing more research and gather all the information about the aquaponic system

    I received the idea to build this aquaponic system from watching a video on YouTube. It really helped me in planning to implement this project of mine.


    For the plant tray, the base, the piping channel from the water pump, the plastic pots, and the plant's drain are the most parts. The piping is made from the PVC pipe. The water will flow from the top to the bottom level of the drain, the plants are grown in plastic pots that are placed in a channel (PVC pipe). 


 

    In the video from this YouTube source also gave me a more in depth explanation in the process of raising tilapia fish.

    I also gained knowledge in terms of the living characteristics of this tilapia fish. The tilapia species have high resistant in terms high salinity, low dissolve oxygen and high ammonia. The fish can survive in pH level from 5 to 10 but best range is 6 to 7. The ideal temperature to growth is 29'C to 31'C.

 



2. Continue on writing logbook progress

 This week, I am updating the progress of the logbook using the blog until the 13th week.

 



SUMMARY

  • Manage to adding knowledge on how the aquaponic system works on and I more understanding towards the project research. 
  • Able to continue completing the logbook progress until week 13.

FYP 2 WEEK 12 (16/5/2022- 20/5/2022)

  Poster Approval Checking & Final Setup on Project Devices  OBJECTIVES To do a final review of the poster before it is printed for the presentation session. Do the troubleshoot and gather the measured data on the project devices. CONTENTS 1.  Final checking of the poster banner with Academic Supervisor (ASV). Before attend the demonstration day at Gemilang Hall on Wednesday 25/5/2022, I went through on final checking with my supervisor, Dr Zaki to get his comments on if there should be additions or improvements.   Search Academic Supervisor (ASV) & Final Year Project (FYP) Title Selection OBJECTIVES:   To find a Final Year Project (FYP) Supervisor to provide guidance on how to plan and assist in  performing the project.
