Workshop 3 Thesis Writing and Proposal Writing & Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 Progress Report Checking 

OBJECTIVES

  • To gain knowledge about the requirement needed in Chapter 4 (Result & Discussion) & Chapter 5 (Conclusion) from 3rd Briefing about the Final Year Project 1.
  • To discussing about progress report checking on chapter 1 and 2 with supervisor.
  • Start writing progress report for Chapter 3.

CONTENTS

1. Workshop 3 Final Year Project (FYP)  Thesis and Proposal Writing

    In week 7, the general briefing was conducted on Microsoft Teams that involved the FYP Diploma/FYP1/FYP2/IFYP students and the attendance is compulsory. The briefing was conducted by Sir Azmi Hashim.

Venue: Online Microsoft Teams

In this briefing, the Final Year Project (FYP) committees have briefed us about:

1. Results & Discussion (Chapter 4), Conclusion (Chapter 5)

2. Abstract in Thesis Writing or Summary in Proposal Report






2.Progress Report Checking on Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 

    The checking process on the proposal report continued on background of the project part. Dr Zaki give a commented which is I need to put the cite references if I used the similar word from the references. 
     After that, I don’t have to mention the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies as solution in that part. Dr Zaki suggested me just mention about the manual maintenance activities such as take daily or continuous reading of the parameters and keep on doing visual observation on the plants or water.


3.Progress report on Chapter 3

    Before start for writing report on chapter 3, my supervisor asked me to list all the components I wanted to use in this aquaponics project. So this is my list of components:
  • Microcontroller (ESP-WROOM-32 Module)
  • Relay Module 
  • Dissolve Oxygen (Atlas Env-20-Dox)
  • Water Level Sensor 
  • pH Sensor 
  • Temperature Sensor
  • Submersible Water Pump 12V
  • PVC Pipe (Plant Tray)
  • Fish Tank (Aquarium Fish Tank)
  • Solar Panel

SUMMARY

  • Gain the ideas on how to write the Result & Discussion, Conclusion & Abstract in Thesis Writing
  • Word structures on my report more acceptable after checking process to my supervisor.  
  • Manage to performing progress report part on Chapter 3 .

  FYP2 PRESENTATION & DEMONSTRATION DAY OBJECTIVES To attend the final presentation of the project during demonstration day Do all the final setup before attend the final presentation. CONTENTS   1. FYP 2 WEEK 12 (16/5/2022- 20/5/2022)

  Poster Approval Checking & Final Setup on Project Devices  OBJECTIVES To do a final review of the poster before it is printed for the presentation session. Do the troubleshoot and gather the measured data on the project devices. CONTENTS 1.  Final checking of the poster banner with Academic Supervisor (ASV). Before attend the demonstration day at Gemilang Hall on Wednesday 25/5/2022, I went through on final checking with my supervisor, Dr Zaki to get his comments on if there should be additions or improvements.   Search Academic Supervisor (ASV) & Final Year Project (FYP) Title Selection OBJECTIVES:   To find a Final Year Project (FYP) Supervisor to provide guidance on how to plan and assist in  performing the project. To produce a suitable title of  Final Year Project (FYP) for the registration.
